In my short two year photography career I have been blessed with many opportunities. I have photographed models, babies, college mascots, brides, musicians and politicians but the most exciting experience I have had to date is Second Shooting with Dan Harvell Photography on an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. It was organized by Honor Flight Upstate SC, which is a non-profit, volunteer-based program that is dedicated to honoring World War II veterans by offering a program that flies them to Washington to visit the memorial built in their honor.
It was a wet September morning for the day trip to our nations capital but this honorable group of men did not let the weather dampen their spirits or excitement. From the time they arrived at Greenville-Spartanburg Airport it was a non-stop fun filled day of music, laughter and even a few tears. The veterans were all smiles as they were continuously showered with gratitude and praise for their service to their country.
