Wofford College

Wofford College was founded in 1854 with a bequest of $ 100,000.00 from the Rev. Benjamin Wofford. It is an independent liberal arts college located in Spartanburg, South Carolina. It has operated continuously on its original campus, which was designated a National Historic District. In 2002 the entire 170 acre campus was designated the Roger Milliken Arboretum and nearly 5,000 trees have been planted on the campus.

HDR photography stands for “High Dynamic Range”. It creates photos with gorgeous, impossible detail and clarity. It is an art form of its own almost guaranteeing that no two photos will ever look alike.

Aubree Williams

Being naturally beautiful does not necessarily mean that someone will also be photogenic. Being photogenic is about awareness of how to express your personality and charm in front of the camera. Fortunately for me Aubree Williams was both.  Her natural beauty coupled with her poise and confidence made her a true joy to photograph. She hopes to have a career in modeling some day and I have no doubt she will be a great success. Thanks to my friend and fellow photographer Keith Durham for running lights for me on this shoot.

Kim Spearman Alexander

What a fun day this was photographing Kim Alexander. We planned her photo shoot at the old train car on the Swamp Rabbit Trail in Greenville, South Carolina. I didn't know who to contact to find out the owner of the property so we went with the old adage, "Its easier to ask for forgiveness than permission." I used a gold vintage chair that I inherited from my Grandmother as a prop. It was very heavy and took three of us to get it out of the car. We had just gotten our light stands set up when along came one of Greenville County's finest - the new Motorcycle Police Officer assigned to the trail. Being the fun loving, free spirit that Kim is she immediately broke the ice and instead of making us leave the property he actually stopped to watch some of the shoot and pose for a photo. Special thanks to my friend and fellow photographer Laura Richardson for running lights for this session.

Tina and Deven Wardlaw Wedding

Second Shooting with Todd Williams of Magnolia-Studios I helped photograph the wedding of Tina and Deven Wardlaw. Their candlelit ceremony was held at Augusta Manor in Greenville, SC followed by a beautiful reception hosted at the pristine Westin Poinsett Hotel. Guests were treated to an elegant sit-down dinner and dance in the Gold Ball Room. They were a delightful family to work with and made sure we sat down and enjoyed a Prime Rib dinner as their guests. As the night came to an end the groom gave me a hug and thanked us for our hard work. The highlight of the evening for me was having the privilege to do a rooftop shot of the happy couple under the famous Poinsett Hotel sign.
