The Cook Family

A true friend is the greatest of all blessings,
and that which take the least care of all to acquire.

I loved photographing my first family session! Not only because they were picture-perfect but also because they are one of my favorite families ever. Tonya Trammell Cook is one of my oldest and dearest friends. She was my "big sister" at cheer leading camp in high school and now she has two cheerleaders of her own. McKenzie is a junior in college and Kylie is a sophmore in high school. Jamie and Tonya are very proud parents of their daughters success in academics as well as extracurricular activities including beauty pageant titles, cheer leading and dance team achievements. Their sweet family was made complete when Jamie met Javoris Smiley while serving in the military. They formed an immediate bond and over the years he became a permanent part of their family. They lovingly refer to themselves as the Blind Side Family. It is a privilege to call them my friends! Thanks to my friend and fellow photographer Todd Williams for running lights for me and allowing us to use his beautiful farm for this session.

Shannon and Mark Hamilton Wedding

Shannon and I went to high school together so I was thrilled when she contacted me about photographing her intimate wedding ceremony. It was a beautiful fall day as she and Mark recited their personal vows in front of some of their closest family and friends in downtown Greer's city park. Shannon's handsome sons escorted her to the decorated gazebo where the ceremony was held. It was difficult to hold back the tears as the couple stood on a blanket of sand while "Footprints in the Sand" was read - a poem near and dear to their hearts. Their deep love for God and each other was obvious to all who were there. The couple danced to one of their favorite songs, then enjoyed cake before driving off into the sunset on Mark's motorcycle. Thanks to my friend and fellow photographer Tiffany Kuechenmeister for Second Shooting this event with me!
